Slide 20: PET/MRI Fusion Imaging

PET/MRI scan fusion. The left picture depicts an MRI scan showing the anatomical location of the cancer. The middle picture is a PET scan of the same tumour showing the exact location of the metabolic activity of the cancer. When fused together in the right hand picture, an exact image of the position and the function of the cancer is achieved. This allows the light to be focused accurately.
